hi everybody this is charles hoskinson broadcasting live from warm sunny colorado always warm always sunny sometimes colorado it is saturday night actually sunday morning 207 a.m here in colorado finally got this new computer working so i figured i'd try out the webcam and the mic and all these other things play with the audio quality and it looks like the firmware update really worked well for the logitech brio coming in loud and clear and also on the new wi-fi 6 connection pretty good pretty good i feel excited about it you guys doing good all right well we're working hard uh you guys may have noticed that uh 1.18 has been cut graphql should be ready to go tomorrow or on monday the db sync is ready to go the rest apis are looking good i don't think anything's gonna stop the uh the launch it's uh it's all looking solid qa team has been chipping away at things uh the core node team has been chipping away at things we've been running stress tests and going through every scenario we can imagine uh you know no matter how much testing you do you always just get jittery and paranoid because you think to yourself there's got to be something that we have missed there's got to be something that we didn't see or think about but so far so good and maybe uh maybe we'll get through this one huh um last chance to bail out is on monday uh but uh so far the rocket's on the pad it's been fueled up we're ready to go i can't wait push button and that'll occur on monday and hard fork will occur on the 29th now uh after that occurs uh you guys will all get an update with daedalus so you'll get the red screen that says hey datalist isn't working anymore you need to download the new version of daedalus and that new version will contain all the shelley software um you'll be able to use your wallets instantly if you're a uro user or a ledger trezor user you're going to need to wait a little bit for that software to be updated if you need your liquidity now you can restore your your roy trezor or hardware wallet in daedalus and be able to use that so it's up to you your funds are safe they're just inaccessible in that respect and you can either wait and those wallets will update firmware update on the hardware side an auto update on the uroy side or if you absolutely positively need it now you always come back to daedalus and daedalus is just great and works just great so you can restore your wallet and things will be good to go on the 30th we're going to have a product update show we do that every month and we'll have lots of great information about exchanges and what's got what's down and what to expect come august there's also going to be quite a bit of information about voltaire and we'll be discussing a bit about how to submit ballots where the dc fund is at when the voting period is going to begin how the first round of voting registration is going to happen we're going to do another hard fork in october to add in multi-sig native asset and add in token locking and the token locking mechanism will be used with voltaire so look for that in the interim we have a way of doing it for fun too for the first round of fun the october time frame will also upgrade daedalus to have a voting center in it so right now we have a cell phone app and that app is used for voting and we're going to upgrade daedalus to have a desktop voting experience as well so you'll have both a mobile and a desktop voting experience for the voting center and that will get more advanced the october upgrade of daedalus will also contain uh likely the native asset center so you can actually look at more than one currency on cardona so lots to do lots to think about and lots of updates and upgrades coming august is going to be a cleanup month so we're going to chip away at all the technical debt and let people rest and recover a little bit myself included and then september october will be very heavy development months just like june and july were very heavy development months where we pull all the gogen and native asset specific capabilities into cardano we're also going to scale up some resources on certain teams we're going to add some more development resources to daedalus because there's a lot more to do there we'll probably add one to two more developers on the core team as well because i'd like to accelerate a few things and de-risk certain delivery dates to ensure that we hit everything that we'd like to hit uh by the end of the year uh we'll likely also scale up some resources on the rust team because there's lots to do there and the cross chain communication team will be coming online here shortly the hydra team is being rebuilt and reconstituted so there's a lot to do there and i want to see that team scaling up a lot of science to do as well hopefully we should have the scats publication ready to go this year and a little bit more clean up on the ore boris theory side including a rewriting of the profs paper so huge amount to do shelly launch is super exciting no doubt a lot's going to be learned in the month of august and a lot's going to be learned in the month of september and uh we'll be making fine tunes and parameter changes and cleanups uh all the way through and that october hard fork anything that we missed in the upcoming july hard fork we'll use that as the catch-all to roll these things in uh but uh overall things are pretty awesome software's looking very solid we're very happy with it partners are very happy with it exchanges have been very patient with us and that's a good thing and we've been working really hard with them to try to get everything done and certainly all throughout this month in august lots to do there so that is the update and the time is not 12 15 in colorado the time is actually wait a minute let's see what time it is oh my pc time is not set properly huh i gotta reset that okay thanks for reminding me it's your adjust date and time time zone is mountain standard and set time zone automatically sync now there we go okay it's 12 16 am i uh i just built the computer so it's still set for china time it's a great computer 256 gigabytes of ram amd horizon uh threadripper 3970x it's got four terabytes of m.2 storage with a 970 evo plus in it uh there's some really good stuff in this computer i'm pretty happy about it and uh i just got windows on it but i'll be putting linux on it as well for the other drive to boot so how's everybody doing you might as well get some questions and yeah the graphics card is an rtx 2880 80 ti which is the best on market i think all right let's see some questions you guys have how many developers in the whole cardinal project on the i o global side there's over a hundred people who work on the engineering side of cardano many more throughout the rest of the ecosystem mm-hmm so how's your pool coming it's right here this is a nook right here guys nook and so uh that's gonna be a lot of fun good piece of hardware this uh i love these uh price related questions uh let's say how do you plan to beat the etc eth market dominance we're doing pretty good so far i haven't even shipped the whole product yet any response from jack dorsey about the proposal no i'm sure that twitter's quite busy but you know we'll uh we'll send it their way charles can i ask what happens to rewards when the remaining 14 billionaid has been distributed the exact same thing that happens to bitcoin for 10 years of history in the space no one seems to mind that transaction fees cover the system if we build a global scale system with a billion users how many transactions do you think are going to be occurring and the aggregate of all those fees will be far more than anything inflation covers including the fact that perhaps you'll have hundreds of native tokens and you'll be being paid fees in that as well can treasury money be used to finance external projects like a wind farm and the returns investment payback treasury anything you guys want that's what ballots are all about any apologies from the taizos higher-ups they will never apologize because they don't feel like they've done anything wrong they apparently don't feel accountable for their community and their community is has been incredibly consistent cardano was a casino coin until we read the tasos white paper then we copied it and cardano is just a crude simulacrum of tazos and it was all a scam but then we went legit that's the party line their community honestly believes this wakes up every single day that's the kool-aid they drink no burden of proof or evidence will ever be enough they point to some weird japanese websites by people unrelated to the project that's their evidence okay and we say guys you know in the interest of cooperation could the tasers foundation issue a statement that cardano is a legitimate project and although we have disagreements and we philosophically different projects it is a legitimate project it's not a casino coin and we didn't copy them they would go a long way to quieting everything down but no they refused to do that because they believe it themselves and this is all one big conspiracy and they're really pissed off that the copy somehow beat them meanwhile there's enormous material differences in the design of tazos and the design of cardano from the fact that we use completely different accounting models to completely different consensus systems to completely different smart contract models completely different network stacks every dimension of these products are different from each other and we have evidence of that from the formal specifications which we have and they don't really have and from the uh white papers we've written which they also don't have but that doesn't matter because that community doesn't care they just want to lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and then go to twitter and lie and then attack us over twitter and it just shows their character and who they are but you know what we passed them and every metric and kpi will continue to pass them and they're irrelevant it's the worst kind of situation why even pay attention to him anymore never look back look forward can you elaborate on your chat with uh sergey nazarov uh we'll we'll make a statement at some point but we did have a discussion about chain link and it's a great product it certainly could be part of a broader oracle solution i believe in choice and it is important to give cardano users and developers multiple options and everything from stable coins to oracles and it would be really cool to see what we could accomplish there uh cheryl's favorite place to eat longmont probably the best place to eat for just generic american food is the pump house used to be an old fire station it's just down main street so charles how long will the ada light wallet take to update um i'm not sure i've never been a user of that but um it'll be in the list hopefully with the list of all things that are updating because we're going to give you guys a big list of all the infrastructure that we're aware of and if they report a time horizon of how long they think it's going to take we'll we'll relay that to you how are the tenders going in africa uh the ata bid the primary bid we were under bid by another company and it was crazy because we thought the contract would cost five hundred thousand to two so i really wanted it so i bid a hundred thousand then somebody came in i would like a thirty five thousand dollar bid so there's just no way they possibly can make even break even on a contract like that with the economics stated so i think what's going to happen is they'll do it and then it'll run go over cost and then they'll somehow renegotiate on the back end there's some shenanigans there the good news is we probably can come in as a subcontractor on that arrangement and use it as a good way of getting into the voucher business and with the ata we're also bidding on a telecommunications contract and we're bidding on a transportation contract and there's a few other things that we're tendering just on the ethiopia side but we're also looking at a pan-african view it's a game of numbers and there's a lot of paperwork to do but we bid on multiple things at the same time and you know eventually we'll win uh one of them in those circles but it's like a assembly line at this point and eventually we'll service hundreds of deals every year everyone we service brings hundreds of thousands or millions of people into cardano that's the plan anything in tanzania yes we have a partnership with a telco there that's doing mesh network 4g stuff and it's really really cool they're called world mobile and they just got their funding round and they're setting up some micro isps in tanzania so we'll make an announcement about that in a little bit we've been partnered with them for a while it's just taken them a little while to get the resources they need to deploy anthony is a beautiful country absolutely beautiful what about zimbabwe the central bank wants to do something there but zimbabwe is a bit of a difficult country to work with you know honestly probably the most professional african countries rwanda at this point it's the right size it has the right thought process and the government is set up for foreign tendering it's gaming numbers just keep chipping away at it hi charles would you like to work five more years on cardano yeah i'd love to work on the infrastructure side for another five years and i'm also incredibly excited to actually start building product projects and products on top of cardona the whole reason i built cardona was because there's this mission i have about giving economic identity to billions of people uh you know i did ted talk back in 2014 and i told everybody hey i think the whole reason this technology exists is to give economic identity to people that's the whole reason it exists and i said well the problem is i don't have a platform for it ethereum is not really scalable enough and it doesn't have a governance layer bitcoin is blind deaf and dumb and nothing else on market at that time made any sense so i built cardano it took me five years to get to a point where we have something that we can actually build these types of products and projects on and i think the um system is built in a way that it can evolve to eventually to meet the needs of a billion people so there's a lot more work to do on the infrastructure side and we'll just keep chipping away at that and keep building um and i i think there's a really good chance that we amongst many others can continue working on that level but what's really exciting is the fact that we can start servicing servicing a lot of contracts in the developed and developing world and we have a pretty aggressive strategy 2020 is all about turning everything on and 2021 is all about clash of the titans where we go and demonstrate to the world that this truly is the best platform to do things and get thousands and thousands of dapps and tokens and projects built on cardano and we just keep scaling the system was built for that charles how are the litecoin integration negotiations going and will etc be considered as well well we do have some plans for etc on the litecoin side we have to write a lip a litecoin improvement proposal and we'll talk to charlie and the rest of team right now charlie lee has been reviewing nepa pals so we sent over a bunch of documentation to their guys and they're just kind of going through all of it but these are deep scientific papers so they're they're not really easy to go through and read but we created a website called nepapows.com n-i-p-o-p-o-w-s dot-com and uh charlie's been going through that and he's having some fun with it so i think after we write a lip and we start those conversations definitely a lot can be done with that and there certainly is some interest we're also pushing some things in the bitcoin cash community my cto used to work there in that in that space uh so he has a lot of friends in the bch community and i think there's some unique things that we could provide there for wrapped bch especially in governance as a service so um yeah you know we'll let you know but you'll be able to see the litecoin and bch repos when we submit the bch improvement proposal and the lip improvement proposal is it true you're running your own stake pool yes i will run my own stake pool i have yet to name it and i'll i'll mention it to you guys i actually have it right here this is the nook it's gonna be right here in the office i got a big screen tv i'll put on the wall and walk by it and tell those cool stuff from the terminal and be like see it's making blocks it's doing stuff you guys can delegate to me i'll spend the some of the funds on office upgrades i'll get a vertical garden around and an espresso machine and all those other things how was the opening haskell pluto's lecture in mongolia i seem to like it we got some media coverage of it those poor kids they're they're going to be having a hard time it's not an easy class lars is a brilliant guy and polina is very brilliant as well and they push the kids really really hard by design because we use it as a filter hi charles is it okay to leave my idiot secure by ledger on your shelly update yes just leave it don't do anything wait a few weeks and everything will work easy peasy charles do you care about money anymore i've never really cared about money rich or poor i don't care that's not the point in life it's just as happy poor as i was rich kanye west token so the whole point of that was to build some sort of framework that would track votes in the election and you'd have a trump coin and a biden coin and a kanye coin and uh joe jurgensen or whatever the hell her name is and you'd basically use it as an election tracker to verify that the native asset standard is working and the oracle solution is working to be able to import external data and then you'd be able to airdrop it to people and they could do whatever they want it has no economic value so it wouldn't provoke a tax event and that over time it could become a collector's item people could do things with it was kind of a half joke but on the other hand it is a kind of a good idea you know if we get sued by kanye west that'd be a great streisand effect we'd get a lot of notoriety from it he lives in wyoming i got a lot of stuff in wyoming i could like come to his ranch sit down with kimmy please cut hair no while i still have hair i'm going to enjoy it how's the microchip project going it's gonna take years guys we're just getting started with it you know it's an academic project i gotta throw a product manager and a project manager on it if we actually want to accelerate it can chain link incorporate uh to cardano yes it can that was actually the discussion i had with sergey about exactly how to do that he's a nice guy he's a really smart guy we we've never run into each other and it was just one of those things where we have a lot of mutual friends and he was very kind in the meeting and there was a lot to discuss recommend a couple of books life 3.0 is a really good one from max tag mark get you thinking about ai and where life is going so start with air that's a good book so for all oracle solutions for those who are curious so first off you have feeds so where do you get your data from so you have sources and that's the very first component of an oracle then you have aggregation so you have to take many sources and kind of compress them together then after that you have uh access and distribution so you've aggregated it and then people have to kind of access it and there's this concept of curation and then eventually it gets to the end user and there's use of the data so in each part of that pipeline whether you're a data feed or an aggregator or a curator or a distributor or consumer of that data there's things to do and there are things that can go wrong so for example wolfram alpha is a great supply of raw information that also computation can be done on so we're right now in discussions with wolfram about exactly what type of relationship we can have and make sure that their platform is aware of cardano can source data parse it and that people can pull information from wolfram but that would just be a source but you still need aggregation you still need curation you still need distribution and you still need consumption components chain link is nice because it has that whole stack figured out and there's a uniform way of consuming that now if you want to use ada for this probably the best way of doing it is to create wrapped link bring it into cardano and then have some sort of dex mechanic that can translate between ada and link so you can have automated calls and link would be able to service that and it's a win-win because there's consumption there and it provides an oracle solution for us ada native oracles uh the most logical place to do that would be do distribution curation and consumption so the actual interface to do that with oracle pools and americo has been uh playing around with that so that's great but you still have to solve the problem of sources in aggregation in addition to the curation and verify that and that's effectively what chain link does and they've been thinking about it for a while so it's not an easy thing but there should be diversity there should be multiple sources of information in the system okay greetings from luxembourg hello charles did you read the zeus capital report on chain link i did it looks like it was a manufactured report uh specifically to damage the price of chain link you see these things from time to time and i wouldn't be surprised if they wrote one on other cryptocurrencies did you learn your computer science skills for education or practice more well i studied mathematics and mathematicians and computer scientists they're kind of interconnected modern mathematical pedagogy is not computer science heavy but it's important to understand that computer science came from mathematics so if you're fairly good at math it's pretty easy transition to start studying computer science there's a little bit of stuff you have to do to get over a hump and then after that you know you can do lots of interesting things so that's how i got those skills i took some computer science courses i took an algorithms data structures class and general programming class and a network class and a programming language class and a class on computation and all that stuff but most of the the things i learned was from just reading and also taking a lot of classes on logic and set theory and it's amazing how that ports over into the comp sci world so charles has his keys in the safe behind no actually i just have business papers in the safe behind and the ihk chop aren't you tired oh i'm exhausted absolutely exhausted but if i go home i'll wake up all the dogs and wake everybody up and so i figured i'd just wait a little bit maybe come home a little later they tend to get up around one two o'clock and then that's an opportunity to go home without waking everybody up they'll be outside peeing still at the office yes this is the office guys it's the office people are still working right now and they're still doing qa stuff we are actually doing three shifts in a row so there's 24 7 work throughout the weekend no one is sleeping now you can kind of understand why i take so much umbrage when people attack us over twitter and say we're nobody and we don't do anything it's like okay go to cardano updates you see stuff being written today right now at 12 42 at night where is your mask well i run it the entire floor so it's just me i don't need to wear a mask although i think i have one somewhere around here you have to wear it in colorado in a lot of places that's a real suit of samurai armor by the way it was made by a japanese family that's been making armor for 400 years it took four months for it to be made and shipped it's got a butterfly sigil on the chest it's very rare any work with deloitte happening at we know the people at deloitte pretty well um we talk a lot more with pwc and there's lots of cool things to do there uh we also occasionally rub shoulders with the ernst young people because of their nightfall project and we're doing similar things it's not hard to talk to them yeah and for those of you don't know occasionally i do sleep in the office and that's my bed right there you can see the pillows and the blanket and generally speaking that's what happens during crunch time don't go home just sleep in the office shower in the bathroom put some deodorant on brush your teeth get back to work uh you know today i went looked at tractors we had some down time so i went over to sterling colorado it's out east and i looked at some messy ferguson tractors and it was also a fence dealership which is and the guy says you know fent is like the lamborghini of tractors and i said sir lamborghini is the lamborghini of tractors [Laughter] they make tractors guys they started with a heavy equipment manufacturer but fent is uh is definitely the most expensive tractor you can buy they go all the way up to three hundred thousand dollars for uh they're really really big ones and they do cool stuff and you have all these amazing attachments you can put on and the cabin is like panoramic glass and so forth it's a it's a sexy tractor here's the john deere of tractors i drove right by the john deere dealership they looked pretty sad i have a john deere tractor it's a 1982 john deere and it's leaking oil and falling apart and i got to get it fixed up but the massey ferguson's the next one you have a cowboy hat i certainly do and i wore the cowboy hat at the tractor dealership you kind of have to do that it's like they won't take you seriously my office is not full of people this is actually just two people in this office it's my personal office in longmont normally we have a lot of people that fly in and out every week we'd have someone different but after coronavirus had people stop traveling because most of our employees are in europe and asia and the american ones occasionally still come here like nathan kaiser recently visited he's based in boston uh and so it's just it's my secretary and i occasionally uh rob cohen is here too for time being because he's been rving throughout the countryside so no need to wear a mask as for traveling well when you're waiting you know you're waiting uh so there was not much i could do in the mid-afternoon we were while europe was sleeping and down time so i went tractor shopping it is saturday it's a good day to look for tractors as your secretary hot his name is michael lagudia not a woman he's got a man bun i got a master's in philosophy he's a good kid i have a camper not an rv hi from nairobi kenya nairobi is one of the prettiest places i love that city when are you changing ioh k usa l c diog i'm not iohk usa llc is a subsidiary of iog and it's the operating arm that hires u.s employees so iog is a holding company and it owns a lot of assets and iohk usa is actually the one that we do the w-2s out and hire u.s personnel through so it's never going to go away hello from afghanistan red man we're in afghanistan why not io usa because iohk usa was created a while back and the name is still there and i don't care to change it because it's just a a path through to employ people and service u.s market hello from japan cardano isn't available on japanese exchanges yet so i had to go through other exchange websites i am really upset about that we try and try and try i mean we're filing more applications now and um i know i it's like i don't even know what to do they tell us now there's a big form to fill out and we're filling that form out it's incredibly invasive okay and we're working on it [Music] at some point liquidity will come but it's almost comical at this point maybe after we overtake ethereum i don't know you know but we will do a big a a big japan business surge in 2021 mostly in the ag tech sector and we'll go and do some fun things there but we'll never give up on the japan market we'll just keep chipping away at it it might take five more years might take 10 years whatever is necessary that is one of my life goals what happened dee was that there was no regulation and all the coins were listed the exchanges just did whatever the hell they wanted and then their be there they passed a law and then regulation came and anybody who wasn't listed had to go through a listing process to get listed and ada wasn't listed yet because it hadn't been launched yet when that law passed in 2017. so we asked what the standard was and they said wait and then they were going to give a permissive standard then the coin check hack happened then nothing got listed for two years because of that and they fired the guy who was the big guy and they brought someone else in who hated crypto and then they said well the only thing that should get listed are security tokens and then eventually they started relaxing in 2019 and now in 2020 it seems like they finally have standards but we've been waiting uh and it's always the same story clarity will come in february clarity will come in april uh coronavirus is slowing everything down clarity will come in july clarity will come in this time period we say okay tell us when we need to file what we need to do it's incredibly frustrating it really is what linux distro do you use ubuntu when will daedalus wallet be ready for staking delegation all that software will turn on july 29th uh the staking center won't be usable until staking begins and that's august 18th so it'll be there but grayed out just turns on august 18th but it's all coded up and ready to go you doing good cheryl's doing great it's warm and sunny colorado how about you guys you guys doing good where are the paintings well this is my office office not my home office the paintings in the back are in the uh home office uh uh well let your life have direct support for ada i believe there is the intention to do that and people are working on it but it does take some time charles do you agree with trump that the person woman man camera tv cognitive test was too difficult trump is not a very bright man um he has never once indicated intellectual curiosity discipline or the sufficient attention span necessary to achieve in scholastic endeavors just who he is he's a creature of reaction and instinct and he could grow and become someone great but he doesn't want to have humility you know wisdom and learning and the capacity to be great all comes from humility the humility to accept that you don't know the humility to accept that you're a beginner the humility to accept that there are experts out there far more qualified than you and to listen to them and learn from them and to work with them and have them help sculpt you and the japanese have this philosophy called shuhari and it's like the beginner's mind you just kind of you're an empty cup and then you start mastering something and then eventually after you've mastered it then you become a master and you create your own school a variation of it so it comes in martial arts but it's also true for life in general all things you do whether you become a surgeon only is first have to learn how to tie knots and cut and to just have the dexterity that a surgeon has and there's fundamentals there and they're universal and they stick with you and everything you do is built on top of that and you're always going back to the beginning and making the beginning slightly better my grandfather was a surgeon he was an ob gyn and he performed thousands of operations during his career and i remember when i was a kid going fishing with him and he would tie flies and he would tie them with the same mastery that he would tie a knot while operating on someone and he was a very good surgeon and he had that just discipline and that ability to to have that zen about it uh trump doesn't doesn't do any of that why because he's just a made-up person he's always been a made-up person there's nothing real about him it's all show you know and he's the great businessman he's not really a great businessman he's the great leader he's not really a great leader you know the only thing he has going for him is he's a wall that stands between us and the marxism that the other party's been pushing into america so you're left with this terrible choice where you have to either keep that wall present which case you deal with the enormous damage it's doing or you have to embrace the marxism that the other party is pushing america towards the hell do you do you know this is a consequence of a broken two-party system and a broken nomination system it's not good times and that's why everybody's so angry and everything's falling apart that's why we have protests throughout the street and people are lighting things on fire and why people aren't listening to each other anymore but um no in this whole cognitive test thing oh test hard a test for whether you have dementia or not passing the test means you're normal is your couch made of corinthian leather that's a ricardo maltaballon uh reference he used to do advertisements for a car company and he said rich corinthian leather ricardo montavon was most famous from fantasy island also he was the guy who played khan and wrath of khan and the original star trek episode for those of you you shouldn't talk politics just saying why i'm not allowed my own political opinion oh my god people will discover that i'm a human being i might say something you dislike and therefore you have to hate me think for your self i'm an american i'm entitled to opinion i'm entitled to be able to say what i want to say and believe what i want to believe and guess what if you're so propagandized that you have to dislike someone because they have different political views than you you're part of the problem seriously that's that's what's wrong with everything we've created a reality where everybody has to only listen to people they agree with and if there's somebody they disagree with that person is evil and must be destroyed or discredited or removed from society that's just wrong it's it's the root of all problems we have in society right now our inability to listen our inability to have mutual empathy to say i hear you i understand you i may disagree with you but i still respect you and still will collaborate with you where and when it makes sense so yeah of course i'll do it and if people leave good riddance they're part of the problem is because the academy has been captured by the lefties yeah those marxists man they don't want to listen to anybody those who disagree with them are evil according to them safe environments well i got these soundproofing panels installed they're really nice there's they're up here too better acoustics mantis on the rust test now what the does that even mean this is a scala product it's complete too doesn't it be on a rust test net any discussions with the celsius network i know alex one of these days we'll probably talk to him do something with him the nexo people too so here's a here's a pro tip it says charles do you believe erd can do with 10 000 tps as they state any cryptocurrency that advertises its tps it's probably you have to be concerned about it tps is a vanity metric i'll say it three times just so you get it through your head tps is a vanity metric tps is a vanity metric okay don't even think about it at all we even wrote an article about it and we did a presentation about it i will refer you to that article we wrote on hydra and refer you to the presentation that duncan and team did best watch manufacturer i'd say the best technologies right now in the hands of jager because of the gyroterbian that's probably the pinnacle of watchmaking at the moment i have also a lot of respect for piaget because they they have the autoplano which is a really thin mechanism it's a beautiful mechanical watch in terms of automatons jacques dro is probably the best they just make beautiful beautiful automatons my favorite minute repeaters come from vacheron constantine they just have these beautiful sounds they make great skeleton watches as well but here's the really up thing all these prestigious with watchmakers you can spend over a million dollars on a grand complication from paddock felipe did you know that if you go to walmart and you buy a timex with a quartz movement it's more accurate than a million dollar paddock philippe watch think about that is roger ver in the closet come out of the closet roger come on roger come and play come out of the closet no i don't want to all right charles everything's still on track for the 29th yep is iohk right now have any income source yes weaving yes we make lots of money business good life happy haiku strong is iohk officially io global now it's been that way for a long time we've just got to do the rebranding but legally speaking it's been that way for a long time we left hong kong ah defy on cardano yes have you tried magic mushrooms who knows have you seen my baseball no i have not seen your baseball sir i'm sorry hublot or frederick constant i have both i like them both frederick constant is a much better value they make great watches in the thousand dollar two thousand dollar range max kai is your opinion so that's a good question max and stacy and this is me very tired and borne down so i'll tell you what i really think uh max and stacy they've been around for a long time and the problem is that when you live in a media model that you've mastered and the world's changed around you and you're not fitting so well in that new media model you're always looking for something to to try to get viewership and notoriety and presence and so forth and some people do it very well they somehow move to the new model and other people they it's a bit jagged and there's just not a lot of money and room right now to be made with the world financial systems coming to an end the sky is falling by xyz so you know max tried his thing and he did max coin and start coin and uh he did uh all kinds of stuff and he broke litecoin and broke ethereum broke cardano on a show and it had a bit of momentum and he had some ratings and now for whatever reasons he's gone hard hardcore bitcoin maximalist and i suspect because a sponsor or someone in that pipeline is paying him to be a bitcoin maximalist and so that schtick means that anything that stuff bitcoin is a scam in the enemy and all the purveyors of that ecosystem are dishonest and immoral or misguided pick your favorite thing and he'll run that stick for a while and see if he can get some traction with it just like peter schiff is doctor doom and the economies always collapsing and gold is always more valuable and bitcoin's always a scam and only gold can save you right that's peter ship's thick dr doomstick schtick and max has his stick unfortunately max seems to think it's okay to take people he's known for damn near a decade and just like throw him out call him a pedophile as he did me he compared me to jeffrey epstein and anyone else who took ppp money with jeffrey epstein okay um it doesn't really allow you to go back you can't really repair that relationship now so okay i guess it was worth it a couple of clicks a couple of tweets a few minutes of content on a show and that's it okay you know what i wake up tomorrow and i forget all about him and i'll never think about him again outside of occasionally seeing his name mentioned somewhere in a clip here and there no more interviews no more breaking news on the show if i run into him in person i walk right by him like he's a ghost and he's gone and you know what happens to people like that after they burn every bridge and no one pays attention to him anymore they die alone with no friends and no family and no one cares about them and no one maintains their gravestone and that's the life they've chosen at least they have each other i won't yes hello from ukraine did you decide on the location for the haskell team for legends of valor what are your idea about buying arcanum as the next game yeah i'd love to buy arcanum from troika games i think it's in ubisoft's possession now i'll have to hunt it down i'm probably going to
